D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, a sandwich chain located in the upper Northeast (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI), was looking for a new menu board and P.O.P rollout as part of a makeover aimed at the so-called millennial generation, featuring a “Think with Your Stomach” advertising blitz. They wanted multi-functional products that could integrate seamlessly into the existing décor, as well as the ability to update content frequently and easily.
VGS, and our in-house design studio (Studio D), came up with a multi-faceted solution, including a hybrid menu board system. The hybrid menu boards feature static poster insert boards – with MagaLens® technology allowing for quick and easy updates – as well as digital screens running our Simplicity™ Digital Menu Board Tool. The aggressive rollout also included the placement of all point-of-purchase materials, such as poster holders for promotional materials (feature boards) and freestanding displays, comprised of Ovations® pole systems for maximum ﬂexibility and messaging. All components were installed and launched in 165 D’Angelo locations from August – December 2012.
