The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory is a federally funded research and development center and NASA field center located in Pasadena, California. A new concession operator was given the task to implement new menu offerings with little notice before a busy holiday weekend. In order to accomplish this, an aggressive installation needed to take place for 17 Digital Menu Board Systems across 3 on-site restaurants for several thousand employees.
VGS pulled out all the stops to deliver 17 Digital Menu Board Systems in just under 7 days. This included the configuration of the Simplicity™ Enterprise display system hardware and software, content creation and shipping. The displays, arriving just hours before a set deadline, were installed, configured and tested by VGS; JPL staff was also trained on the system by VGS.
In addition to meeting the incredibly aggressive implementation schedule, the JPL Digital Menu Board System serves as a powerful marketing tool, displaying menu items, promotions and daily specials. The intuitive template design allows the user to easily edit daily specials and schedule these specials to display automatically throughout the week.
